You can help make a vital difference in a little girl’s life. This beautiful little girl is Becca and she is very sick. She has been diagnosed with Batten
Disease. It is a rare genetic disorder that attacks the eyes, brain and central nervous system. Prior to Becca’s 3rd birthday, she was a healthy, happy, and normal child. As her symptoms began to take hold we watched our bright and shining Becca lose the majority of her speech, her vision and her ability to understand others. Becca is now almost completely blind and doctors have found that she is having around 100 seizures a day. Doctor’s have begun aggressively treating Becca with new drug therapies. These new drug therapies are lending some hope to Becca’s parents Michael and Dawn Collins, along with her 8 year old sister Natalie and 1 year old brother Michael. These drugs along with physical therapy and regular visits with specialists, including some in New York, add up to an incredible financial burden on her and her family. If you are unable to attend our event, a medical benefit fund has been established in Becca’s name at First Midwest Bank. If you would like to make a private contribution, please make checks payable to: Benefit for Becca, First Midwest Bank, ATTN: Teller Department, 19648 South LaGrange Road, Mokena, IL. 60448 Or visit us online and make a donation at our web site
